Dr. Jorge Ahumada joined our group as a Postdoc Research Associate in 2024. Dr. Jorge Ahumada obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2024. Prior to that, he earned a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from New Mexico State University in 2018 and 2015, respectively. His past research includes the characterization of supersonic swirling jets using PIV, and the study of evaporation behavior of sub-millimeter droplets of pure and nanofluids.
