We’re pleased to announce that our paper titled
“The Effect of Endplates on Vortex-Induced Vibration of Finite-Length Cylinders”
has been published in Physics of Fluids, Volume 37, Issue 9 (2025).
This study systematically investigates how endplates influence the vortex-induced vibration (VIV) behavior of finite-length cylinders. Through detailed experimental analysis, the work reveals the role of endplate geometry in modifying wake structures, vibration amplitudes, and fluid–structure interactions. These findings advance the fundamental understanding of flow-induced oscillations and provide guidance for vibration control strategies in engineering applications.
Congratulations to the team on this achievement and for their contributions to advancing the field of vortex dynamics and fluid–structure interaction!
