He obtained his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University (ISU) in 2016 and B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Beihang University (BUAA) in 2011. His current research interests include multiphase flow and heat transfer in additive manufacturing, plasma-droplet interactions, blast\/shock-surface interactions, high-speed multiphase interactions driven by blast\/shock, aircraft icing physics and anti-\/de-icing technologies, and unsteady multiphase flow in energy devices. Dr. Liu has published 1 book, 2 book chapters, ~40 peer-reviewed journal papers, and more than 60 conference papers in the field of thermal fluids. He received his Ph.D. degree and M.S. degree in Mechanical &amp; Materials Engineering from the University of Nebraska\u2010Lincoln in 2022 and in 2018, respectively, and his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kitami Institute of Technology, Japan in 2007. He obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2024. Prior&nbsp;to that, he earned a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from New Mexico State University in 2018 and 2015, respectively.
